About me
I am 74 years old. I married in 1984 and have two adult children. My son works in America and my daughter works in Sydney. Sadly, my wife passed away in 2014. I have lived in Kew most of my life save for a couple of years in Kyabram as a young lawyer between 1975 and 1977 and a few years in the Cook Islands and Hong Kong as a tax and commercial lawyer between 1987 and 1990. I went to East Ivanhoe primary school and then to Carey Grammar and was appointed Junior School Captain in 1963.
I was Vice Captain of Carey in 1969 and in that year established a school Student Representative Council and a school house social service system culminating in the first school “walkathon” to support St Paul’s School for the blind.
I graduated from Monash University Law School in 1974 and admitted to practice in 1975. I have had a varied legal career happily taking up the legal challenge with any matter that presented itself. As a consequence I have worked as a commercial and tax lawyer overseas, been integrally involved in the property development of two small shopping centres in the East of Melbourne and acted for clients in a number of legal areas in a career spanning nearly fifty (50) years.
I have also been the founder and continue to be a director of a sports ticketing business known as Corporate Sports Unlimited and the founder and current director of an Australian and International sports and travel business known as Corporate Sports Travel Pty Ltd since 1992.
Most recently I have established a charity to foster self confidence and provide financial assistance, education, housing and work for under privileged families in the Philippines, Thailand, Slovenia and Albania.
I have always enjoyed travelling and have been privileged to have travelled to over 100 countries in the world. Primary with the travel pleasure has been meeting different people with different cultures, religions and personalities. I enjoy keeping fit and being involved in sport particularly horse racing, cricket and AFL.
